Sea grant logoThe CATC project goals were publicly announced July 3, 2012 in a newsarticle written by Christina Johnson for Sea Grant California. The article discussed the need for more research on saltwater bass and the recent closure of the recreational fishery to allow populations to recover from 14 years of fishing and unfavorable ocean conditions. The article explained the goals and mission of the project and also quoted a few CATC project collaboratiors: Erica Jarvis, Dr. Brice Semmens, John Valencia, Dwayne Patenaude, and Lyall Bellquist.
